Who We Are

The Waterloo Wayside Centre is a dedicated group committed to fostering and supporting community where it's needed most. Originating from our deep desire to assist one another, we serve the youth, seniors, and marginalized individuals in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Situated at Emmanuel United Church in Uptown Waterloo, our centre provides a range of programs to support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of those in need.

By collaborating with other local organizations and relying on a passionate team of volunteers—many of whom began as clients ourselves—we host and nurture grassroots programs that address essential community needs.

Our Vision

The Waterloo Wayside Centre envisions a supportive community where people can find safe spaces and opportunities to connect. By sharing experiences and resources, we aim to meet immediate needs like food and shelter while fostering independence and a sense of belonging within a loving, inclusive community.
