Mission

The mission of the Centre d’action bénévole et communautaire Saint-Laurent inc. is to promote volunteer action in various sectors of human activity and to stimulate a response to the needs of the community.

Guiding Principles

One of the guiding principles of the Centre is the role of volunteers within the organization. Not only is the volunteer the primary resource of the Centre, but they are also its raison d'être. Indeed, it is through the strength of volunteers that the Centre shines in the Laurentian community. Furthermore, it is through the values and ideas of volunteers that the Centre can initiate and develop projects and services.

Another foundational element of the Centre ABC is the presence of paid staff. They undertake, as needed, a set of responsibilities delegated to them by the board of directors. Their work involves providing technical support to volunteers and community organizations in the area. Their task also aims to ensure the smooth operation of various community services and activities, as well as the promotion and advertising of the Centre. Continuity is thus ensured.
