Description
Investing in People. Inspiring Hope. Transforming Lives.
Ray of Hope dedicates itself to supporting individuals facing hunger, homelessness, poverty, and other challenges in Kitchener-Waterloo. Through the generosity of donors, we provide essential health services and create a compassionate community where everyone feels welcomed. Our goal is to empower individuals to forge a new path in life.
A Look Back
Founded in 1967 by Reverend Arman Wright, Ray of Hope originated from a vision to reintegrate men and youth from the prison system into society. Arman, a former chaplain at the Guelph Reformatory, was deeply committed to this cause.
In 1972, Ray of Hope took a significant step forward with the establishment of Hope Manor (now known as Ray of Hope Secure Custody)—a secure and supportive environment for youth striving to transform their lives.
Through the unwavering support of individuals like you, Ray of Hope has evolved into a thriving organization that annually provides life-changing services and instills hope in hundreds of vulnerable men, women, families, and youth.
Today and Moving Forward
Today, Christ remains central to everything Ray of Hope undertakes, in collaboration with our remarkable community. With the continued generosity of our caring donors, we remain steadfast in honoring Arman’s enduring vision and legacy.
