About Us
Mississauga Seventh-day Adventist Church has over 700 congregants. The church has grown tremendously since the landmark evangelical series hosted at Cawthra Secondary School during the fall of 1973. By April 1974 the church was officially organized and later acquired its own building at 999 Lakeshore Road East. The church continued to grow and subsequently led to the construction of its current home at 2250 Credit Valley Road. March 30, 1996, marked the official commencement of church services at the current location.
The congregation is a mixed blend of several ethnic groups but is predominantly black of Caribbean descent. Members observe the weekly Sabbath rest from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. There is also a mid-week prayer service each Wednesday.
Mississauga Seventh-day Adventist Church is a member of the worldwide Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The church is a faith-based community that bases its teachings and beliefs on the Holy Scripture.
