Downtown Mission of Windsor Inc

The Downtown Mission’s Food Bank offers a vital source of nourishment for local families and individuals facing challenging times. Located at 875 Ouellette Ave (with entrance off Pelissier), it operates from 10 am to 2:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday.

Visitors should bring identification, preferably showing an address and a recent income statement. Reusable bags are also requested for carrying the food provided.

The Food Bank functions as a central hub for donated food, organized similarly to a grocery store. Products are checked, sorted, and neatly arranged by dedicated volunteers who also assist clients in choosing preferred items.

Unique to our community, the Mission’s Food Bank also provides diapers and formula for young families in need. These essentials are available through our Windsor Youth Centre program at 1247 Wyandotte Street East every Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm during the GENWYC Program.
